At The Smarter E Europe event, held from June 19-21, BYD Co. Ltd. is set to unveil groundbreaking innovations in its New Energy and Zero Emission portfolio. As one of the world's largest manufacturers of rechargeable batteries and a leader in electric vehicles and New Energy solutions, BYD's presence at the event is highly anticipated. Among the highlights at booths B1.130 and B1.131 are the new features of the BYD BatteryBox home storage system, a new generation of the C&I storage solution BatteryMax Lite, and the BYD MC CUBE T for large-scale projects. Additionally, visitors can experience BYD's electric vehicle "Seal" and learn about the company's role as the official E-Mobility Partner of UEFA Euro 2024™.

BYD BatteryBox: A Milestone of 1 Million Installed Systems

Since its debut at the EES in 2015, the BYD BatteryBox series has become one of the most popular and successful energy storage systems worldwide. In 2024, BYD celebrated a remarkable milestone of over 1 million installed systems without a single safety issue. Known for its reliability and flexibility, the BYD BatteryBox allows partners and customers to tailor the system to their specific needs. The full range of the BYD BatteryBox Premium product portfolio will be showcased at the event, including the high-voltage models BYD BatteryBox Premium HVS and HVM, as well as the low-voltage models LVL and LVS.

New Features of the BYD BatteryBox

At The Smarter E Europe 2024, BYD will introduce a new Battery Control Unit (BCU) for the BatteryBox HVM and HVS series. This new feature includes a plug-in system that eliminates the need to remove the system cover for cable connections during installation. This enhancement not only makes installation faster and easier but also reduces the potential for installation errors. These new features of the BYD BatteryBox are expected to further solidify its position as a top choice among energy storage solutions.

Celebrating Success with Partners

"As the European service partner for BYD BatteryBox, we have witnessed the system's success over the past nine years," says Florian Blaser, General Manager of EFT-Systems. "The system has been rated as the top choice by installers in several surveys and has recently increased its market share in the residential sector to over 30%. This success is not only due to the system's strong performance, reliability, and flexibility but also to the fantastic collaboration within the European partner network." To celebrate this successful partnership, BYD will host a special event for installers at The Smarter E Europe 2024.

Installer Event on June 19

On June 19, starting at 3:00 PM, the BYD BatteryBox team will invite installers from the partner network to an event at the BYD booth. The event will begin with an opening speech by Cindy Tang, BYD Residential Energy Storage EU Sales Director. Partners will have the opportunity to win attractive prizes, including tickets to the UEFA Euro 2024 final, a complete BYD BatteryBox HVM system, a BCU, an HVM Battery Module, and more.

Introducing the New BatteryMax Lite Generation

BYD will also unveil the new generation of the BatteryMax Lite storage system at ees Europe 2024. Designed to support commercial and industrial (C&I) applications, the BatteryMax Lite aims to provide a quick return on investment. The energy storage system can be used to reduce rising energy costs through self-consumption, peak shaving, or time-based arbitrage. The modular design of the BatteryMax Lite allows for scalability from 30 kWh to 90 kWh per storage cabinet. By connecting 64 storage towers in parallel, the system's capacity can be scaled up to 5.76 MWh.

The new system generation features BYD's proven cobalt-free LFP battery cells and has a more compact footprint (0.9 x 1.3 meters). It offers an open interface, an intelligent Battery Management Unit (BMU), and very simple installation. The system includes numerous safety features and guarantees high performance of 90 kW per BatteryMax Lite unit. The BatteryMax Lite is compatible with inverters from brands such as SMA, KACO, Deye, Goodwe, and Solis. Pre-orders for the new BatteryMax Lite will begin in July 2024, with deliveries starting in late summer and system availability in Europe expected by October 2024.

BYD's Commitment to a Greener Future

"The BYD BatteryBox and BYD Energy Storage team looks forward to meeting partners and customers at The Smarter E Europe 2024. We value the event as an opportunity for dialogue with our European partners, who also have the chance to learn about the latest solutions," says Jiang Feng, BYD Director for Residential Energy Storage. "The European market and our partner network are very important to us, and we continue to expand our market presence. In this context, we are also proud that BYD Auto is the official E-Mobility Partner of UEFA Euro 2024™. This partnership aligns well with UEFA's efforts to promote a greener and more environmentally friendly UEFA EURO 2024™ and BYD's vision of providing zero-emission energy and mobility solutions to reduce global dependence on fossil fuels."
